I've written a lot of songs alone in my room over the years, but none as intimate as during the pandemic. I am grateful for all the kindness that was shown to me during those 18 months, particularly by Matt Griffo, picking me up from the airport after being quarantined on a cruise ship for 2 1/2 months, helping me install an air conditioner in the Chicago July heat, teaching me about the best roller blades and how to use them, and believing in all my songs enough to have me in his studio with my mask on.

These three songs were the most raw we produced during the pandemic, telling my story of loss, transition, forgiveness, moving forward. I hope while you listen in your headphones, you take a walk with your coffee, looking at the trees losing their leaves, and know that they will return to their bright green again as they always do.
